The latest news will be posted as it comes to hand.
It is hoped that motorsport events will begin to be held on the circuit in 2017. Weekend events, in the main, will consist of supersprints, hillclimbs and motorkhanas with three race meetings to be held in the period October – March inclusive. The venue will also be used throughout the year for restricted private practice, driver training and use by road registered vehicles and educational or promotional events.
Noise will be limited as per council’s Conditions of Approval. Race vehicles using the circuit will be restricted as outlined in the CAMS Manual of Motorsport, i.e. to 95dBa at 30m.
Driver training will be carried out on both the dedicated driver training area and the circuit. We are looking forward to working with driver educators in both the public and motorsport sectors. Road users will be able to hone their skills in areas where training can be of real benefit for example, exposure to the use of ABS vehicle control on loose or wet surfaces. We particularly look forward to the opportunity for local schools and universities to become involved in initiatives such as the CAMS Schools Programme and Formula SAE - Australasia.
